Curriculum Advisory


The primary responsibility of the Curriculum Committee, as described in the legislation, is to make recommendations to the school board on district wide standards, assessments, and program evaluation. In keeping with this role, the Curriculum Committee may engage in any of the following:
  • Recommend to the school board the addition of new secondary courses
  • Recommend approval of the NCA Self-study reports and Improvement Plans
  • Develop customer satisfaction surveys in conjunction with school level personnel
  • Recommend changes in District Testing Program
  • Examine Assessment data and recommend curriculum and instructional changes
  • Recommend ways to increase/enhance community involvement
  • Recommend approval of the district Staff Development Program
  • Serve and the "eyes and ears" of the community to the School Board and school district personnel
  • Reviews the district System Accountability Report sent to the state
